90 Head Cattle Yard – Lileah, Tasmania

Project Highlight: Lileah, Tasmania – Built for Flow, Function, and Safety

When a cattle producer in Lileah needed a yard system that could do more than just hold cattle, we worked together to deliver a solution that made handling safer, faster, and less stressful—for both livestock and people.

The final design comfortably manages 90 head of cattle, using a combination of our Australian-made Willowdale equipment and OSM imported range. It’s a practical setup, carefully thought out to support calm stock flow and clear handler access.

A key feature is the 15-metre curved race, built to guide cattle through smoothly and calmly. We included a lowered inside panel to give easier access to the cattle in the race, along with a raised walkway that provides safe, elevated access to the cattle from start to finish.

This yard system includes a side-squeeze crush with a full walk-through vet section, manufactured from galvanised Australian steel. It offers reliable control and reduces the risk of injury during procedures and treatment—for both the animal and the handler.

At the end of the race, a 3-way draft allows for efficient sorting, keeping cattle moving where they need to go without stress or confusion.

This yard was built with purpose and practical experience behind every decision. From the equipment used to the placement of the yard, it’s designed for safety, flow, and long-term value.
